Rafa, would you have him at City?

I honestly feel that rafa is engineering himself a move out of liverpool by getting the sack and helping himself to a 20 million pound windfall. Why else would he make such bizarre decisions?

he's always done things like that tho. he is notorious for rotating if there is a european match coming up. the league has always been less important to him. ask any scouse. even if he does pick the big guys, he always takes them off whether he's winning or losing. he thinks he still has a good chance of getting fourth by winning all his remaining games. because he's arrogant, he thinks four of their games are easy, and that he can out-do chelsea tactically.

I know you're fishing but..

If Mancini fucked off to Juve.
And Mourinho went to Real.

Then absolutely.

We are talking about a guy who won the CL with nothing. Who dominated in Spain during the Galactico era. Who went given decent funding generally buys top players (Torres, Reina, Mascherano, Alonso). Who managed to pick up 86 points in the league last year.

He's had a shit season, granted. But he's done very well at Liverpool considering the financial constraints. He's had to do a ton of wheeling and dealing over the past 5 years.

There was a ton of money when he first came. He's bought Babel, Robbie Keane for 20m, etc. Give me a break.

And let's not forget about Glen Johnson (18m) and Aquilana (22m).

don't think HE actually bought Keane, that was the reason he wouldn't play him

No, i'd be gutted.

Imagine being level with 30mins to go in an important match only for him to sub tevez and bring on Benjani (if he was still here). Last week was only the latest in countless baffling decisions.

Mancini is the man for us and no mistake.

If mancini went and mourinho said no... it'd still be no. plenty of alternatives to bloody Rafa!

He's never had a ton of money. His net spend works out as £13M a year. Yet with that he's
delivered two Champions League finals. He never wanted Robbie Keane, and importantly didn't lose any money on him when selling him back to Spurs.

Babel has been a disappointment, but given his Ajax form and hype at the time the
money they paid for him wasn't out of line with what his value was.

Johnson is worth every penny. Liverpools game is based on dominating possession - Johnson gives them attacking credibility on the right. He's easily the best attacking right back in the league.

Didn't they pay £20m for Keane and sell him back for £12m?

No thanks, his work in the transfer market leaves a lot to be desired
