... is quite possibly one of the worst full backs ive seen in premier football. much as i hate the twat ive always admitted that one of bacon faces great talents is to intergrate extremely average footballers into his team without much detremental effect but i think he has to admit defeat on this fucker, he is just gash!!!

imo that is absolute bullshit, ribery was shit until rafael got sent off as he had him in his pocket until the red card

I really want to agree to this but i cant..he was excellent all game until the sending off, in which he didnt deserve a second yellow.

Got to agree unfortunatly, he is good going forward, but not the best defending, i.e Bridge

He is a great young player! Bit rash but he'll learn. Much better prospect than any of our current right backs.

-- Thu Apr 08, 2010 10:23 am --

He is a great young player! Bit rash but he'll learn. Much better prospect than any of our current right backs.

Excellent going forward but very suspect defensively. Ribery wasn't great against him first half as Rafael got tight and Ribery didn't seem interested but he still managed to turn him with extreme ease on a few occasions and it resulted in him getting a second yellow

that is the biggest pile of monkey spunk i've heard on here in a long while......... he had one of the top 10 players in world football in his pocket for 60 mins and is 20. Put it this way i'd have him

O'Shea already has

Good player but a wee bit suspect defensively and rash, easily turned and quick to pull back as witnessed by his efforts on bellamy and last night, also a bit hot headed a la the kick, sure all those traits can be learned out of him but we shall see

Rafael - a liability.

Seen him a few times now, always gives away needless free kicks, tugging shirts, cynical little cnut.

Anyway, he's not our problem thank god!

Got a lot of ability but too naive as a defender.

He might learn, but I suspect he'll end up playing further upfield.

Sounds a lot like Zabby

I think Rafael will be one one the best attacking full-backs in the world in about 4/5 years. He'll always make the odd mistake when he's a young player, and that is to be expected. I don't agree with you on him to be perfectly honest. I rate him.

To be honest im not saying he is a bad player but to see he will be one of the best in the world is quite a strong statement the guy is 20 now and garry neville is well past it if he was on his way to becoming one of the best in the world he should be a mainstay in the united team at this point.

This is where united have and are falling down, some of the older players neville, giggs and scholes wont give it up and the spectre of them hasnt allowed him to blood younger players like gibson etc and consequently those players now cant integrate with the side and dont look good enough

Agree - a right sided Cashley Cole in a few years - in a footballing sense of course

I'm gonna stick my neck out here and say that I'd take Rafael and his brother Fabio at City in the blink of an eye. Both of them are going to be top class.

Nah, not having him one bit.

He can't defend, gets caught up the pitch too often, A LIABILITY!

If he was that good, as some of u think he is, tell me why has G ary Neville been pretty much an ever present in the side ??
