It's crazy how many people ManU are being linked, am I being cynical in thinking these stories are being leaked to the press from the rags in order to drum up failing season tickets as well as get people to buy shares at their IPO?

Off top of my head they have been linked with:

Islo(sp) 20m
RVP 20m
Sahin 18m
Martinez 30m
Winsil(sp) 33m
Moura 30m
Modric 40m
Baines 15m
Fellani 20m
Dembele 15m
Hazard 33m

Prob some more on top of that as well..

I'm sure I read as part of the IPO the released figures saying that there expenditure on transfers this year will be 40m net - if you read the papers or listen to sky sports they have these players practically signed.

ManU fans must be really dum to keep on believing this propaganda, think Nasri and Ozil

Dont forget that Rodriquez (Sp) from porto. think they were quoted £25-30M

They repeatedly come to the table only to get outgunned(Hazard/Nasri) or rejected due to their wage structure(as I believe Wesley Sneijder was beyond their idea of "value" and he isn't going to be paid peanuts either).

Times are hard for the poor bastards.

The flipside of the coin is when they do get a good player.. they'll leave within two years as they will command too big a wage. A bit like Ronaldo. As soon as they want more or parity with the premium earners already at the club they'll be shifted in the hope of a big transfer fee.

Or IPO shares!!!!

-- Mon Aug 06, 2012 8:04 pm --

Baconface will expect his cut I believe. :-)

A tabloid link to the signing of Sneijder can surely only be a few days away........

For what its worth i hope the do spend big on some players......then let me hear all this crap about us 'buying' the title.

I did read ( or think i did ! ) that we have spent less than them in the last 3 transfer windows......but then again even if that is true ... i suppose that doesn't fit the media cliches so wont get reported.

As for season tickets. I know a couple of reds who have not renewed..basically saying he atmos is crap and sick of paying more and more for what they see is a produc that is getting inferior. They would rather spend a lot less and watch in the boozer......cant blame 'em to be honest.

havent they just got some mega rich shirt deal with chevrolet.

think they will have more than 40 million to spend this window

It tends to be Bob Cass spewing all the rag transfer links.

He is Fergies close link, and prints whatever Fergie wants in the Daily Fail.

Fergie is simply trying to appease fans by looking extra busy.

Not what their financial expert on the shares launch said. I would expect the Glazers to pocket some of the Chevvy deal and suspect Taggart will want his cut as well.

I think they are using every trick in the book to make themselves look more attractive a proposition to potential investors and season card holders op.

Bobb cass seems testement to that after this Lucas saga, should he sign for PSG.
