TBH until I went on an internet forum a few years ago I'd never heard it.
 
If they had any brains they use the term themselves- what about Reds Against
Glazers..........I'll get me cloak!

Filth is just 1 of a thousand general terms of abuse you can legitimately use for anyone. At least rag is specific to united. For me it's not really about the word itself, it's about the venom you put into it. Imagine you're spitting it at them.

Howards Dad has a point and it maybe true the other version which goes like this I prefer but each to his own - during WWII - the swamp was bombed - by accident I may add as it was not an intended target - we allowed them to use OUR ground and since their kit was also ruined it the raid we also allowed them to wear our OLD RAGS
