I was outside Atlas bar near Deansgate locks last Sunday at 12.00 o'clock. A group of rags fans came up to me and asked if I knew where Old Trafford was? I mean, you can almost see it from there for ****'* sake! I just laughed, which was lost on them and gave them directions which in hindsight was far too generous, should of sent them to Eastlands!

I mentioned it to my mate who told me a funny story about a time when Steve Bruce pulled over and asked him the way to Buxton, he sent him towards Macclesfield, quality!

Anyone else experienced Utd fans/players asking directions?

I got asked last season by some people wanting to get to Eastlands. I told them and wished them a great day.

When i go to New York next year i will be asking for directions to Maddison Square Garden if i cannot find it.

To be honest, town was full of tourist rag fans that day, horrible, they all turn up expect a 5-0 win at least, take their pics and go back to London/Asia. I do worry about City going that way. I remember when we were in for Kaka, looking at the AC Milan website, there are some numpty/clueless fans out there, I dont want them anywhere near my club!

A mate of mine had to give directions to Roy Keane in a stadium a few years ago, when he was looking for the dressing room in Turners Cross, a bit random.

ImmaculatePasta, you miss my point, I also use aTom Tom or a map when I am visiting somewhere new. These guys probably have supported the rags for years, totally devoted to their team they will tell you, they have probably been involved in years of office banter with city fans, chelesa and Arsenal fans, going on about how good Rooney is, Cantona, Best etc, they buy the shirts and sing the songs but they don't actually know where the ground is? They are a joke!

My uncle decided to come to one of the european games last year at the last minute, think it was Copenhagen. He went to Wembley in 74. 76, 81 (Twice) and 99. He asked me for directions on the phone from Piccadilly and ended up asking for directions from strangers!
