Jeez, another armchair plastic who actually wants to know if they were booed (???). Clearly he's never been at the swamp or any of their games, as he would have known no rags were in the stadium to boo when the final wistle went.

Truly brilliant to see that again after all these years. I've never seen it since. It's funny how memory plays tricks on you. I could've sworn we won that 4-0. I was at that match, at their scoreboard end (as it then was, I don't think they had another name for it): it wasn't covered at the time, nothing but a mass of blues occupying it. By god but the rags played it dirty that day! It was one of the most satisfying victories I've ever seen over them, although sullied by the Pardoe injury, which effectively ended his career. I remember clearly thinking, exactly as I was doing the other night, "Right, that clearly settles it as to who the dominant club in this town is, and for years to come". Strange that I was directly comparing the two matches in my mind, and up comes this post!
