Rags want Ade banned for derby!!

Must be true.... it's in The Sun.
There's no actual quote to back up the headline. Usual tabloid journos.

MANCHESTER UNITED want Manu Adebayor banned for his stamp on Robin van Persie.
The FA is today set to charge the Manchester City star for the Van Persie incident and goal celebration in front of Arsenal fans.

United's management are urging the FA to act so Adebayor misses Sunday's derby at Old Trafford. He could be banned for a total of six games if charged and found guilty.

United boss Alex Ferguson will be without Paul Scholes against City after he was sent off for two bookings at Tottenham.

Fergie felt Scholes had been sent off because of his reputation. He said: "I am not getting into whether or not a player should have been sent off.

"Inconsistency and decision-making is part of the game, what makes it interesting."

And SunSport has learned City were warned about Adebayor's behaviour BEFORE Saturday's powder-keg clash at Eastlands.

Ref Mark Clattenberg spoke to City captain Kolo Toure and coach Mark Bowen about the striker before kick-off and that could count against Adebayor.

Police also want FA bosses to throw the book at Adebayor.

Former Met Police commander John O'Connor said: "I am sure the police will want Adebayor to be made an example of.

"From a police perspective, Adebayor could have been arrested and then charged with actual body harm for the incident with Van Persie. He would then have faced the prospect of standing trial in court."

City boss Mark Hughes rapped: "The referee had a great view of the challenge and deemed it not worthy of a card."

Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore admitted: "These instances don't do the image of the league or football in general any good."

If Ade does receive a suspension it is total bias but, in pure footballing terms, I not bothered if he does miss the rag game because we'll beat them with him or without him.

We'll just set up like we did against Barca

Oh they have to be joking, so im assuming vidics assault on rodelega ISNT ABH then, this is an absolute witch hunt and a shambles!

Heard on SSN this morning that Ade's judgement will be fast tracked so he gets banned from today or tomrarrow.

Pretty much certain he won't be part of the Derby! GUTTED!

If i was city I would ask what justification they have for fast tracking any decision making and appeal process because as far as im aware this isnt usual practice or certainly wasnt last season

Did someone not suggest before that if we appeal it, the ban could then be delayed or (hopefully) overturned?

even with Ade's ban (I'm working on the premiss he's getting one now) we would still be able to put out the same team that did so admirably against the arseholes on saturday bar one player. Add to that the possible return of Tevez and although I'd have liked Ade there in the form he's in, Im still confident of our ability to get a result there.

They have to announce the result of there findings by 6pm today, We would then have until 6pm tomorrow to appeal the decision. If we did appeal then a hearing would be convened for Thursday this week to hear the appeal, so even if we did appeal it would not delay the decision past the Derby.

I know, i'm sure that the FA don't mind giving Fergie a helping hand though!
