He was brilliant today, those criticising hi are completely off their rockers. Danny Rose hasn't had a game like that for months, he was pushed and pulled all over the place trying to keep up with Raheem and basically he completely and utterly failed. His movements from out to in ruined their entire shape, Wimmer was clueless as to what to do about it.
Finishing needs to improve, but it seems everyone would rather focus on him being hesitant in front of goal than Sané, Sergio and KDB who were all the same in the second half.
He forced the second goal and should have won a match winning penalty, instead he's getting shit on here. Pathetic.
No one has been better than him over whole of the last 8 months, and if you think he's going to get dropped you're in for a bad surprise.
You've been on the glue my friend. Three times he was put through and the only time he got a shot off was when Walker pushed him into the ball.
First time he got put through dead centre, his 1st touch took him 6 yards wide of goal.
When he got tackled by Rose that was because his 1st touch again took him away from goal, a decent 1st touch and Rose gets nowhere near him.
People keep saying he is young and will become world-class, not a hope in hell. Experience won't give him the attributes he is missing. Is he going to wake up mid-twenties and all of a sudden he's developed a first touch and a footballing brain?
Look at Sane and the 10 min cameo from Jesus, both younger but look at their 1st touch. You don't learn that in your 20s. Sterling is no better (arguably worse) than what he was in 2013/14. He is a hit or miss player with little to no consistency to his game. City fans don't wanna believe it but he's nowhere near the level of his price-tag.
