A couple of us were championing him from day one. Saw his potential even when he missed a couple of tap ins.
A couple of us backed him even when he had a few poor games because you’d have to be fucking mental not to see what he was capable of.
A couple soon became a few that soon became plenty that soon became the majority.
Crazy to think that there were still a couple not rating him as this season kicked off.
You want a laugh and see who to avoid when it comes to rating players?
Read his previous threads. The worst thing is you don’t see them in here praising him, they’ve disappeared into thin air..
Complete lack of character not to admit you might have had it wrong. Looking around the forum though and the same posters are focusing their angst on others.Yeah it's amazing how none of the people I used to have very heated arguments with in Sterling threads never pop in to praise him.
Although me posting their old comments might have driven them away.

A while back @Zin 'messiah' Zimmer said Aguero would be our Ian Wright who breaks the clubs ancient goalscoring record, and Jesus was going to be our Thierry Henry, ie the guy who comes along and breaks the record just a few years later. That might happen, but I think it will be Sterling.
He's 24 now and has 70 goals for us.
He's a 30 goal a season player (currently on 29 this year). Another 6 seasons like this one and he'll be on 250 goals for the club at 30 years old, and to be honest I only see him scoring more next season, and the season after, and could easily be a 35 or 40 goal a season player. I'd also be pretty gutted if he left at 30.
Aguero is currently on 228.
You can't predict the future, injuries can happen, new managers will come in etc. but I think Sterling is going to make history at this club.
Still 6 games left, he can reach 30 in his current formSlight clarification. He's on 23 for us, not 29. Not sure if you know that, but 6 of them are for England. Not disagreeing with your general post, but he's not quite at 30 yet!
