He is a mediocre footballer. Fair play to him, he has certainly made the most of the attributes he has but this idea that he is world class is fanciful. You can’t be a world class forward, if you regularly miss big chances, in big games. It’s these fine margins that separate world class players from the rest.

He’s a quality footballer as he’s proved over the years with us. Desperately needs a partnership the wings with someone who can play on the left. We played our best football when Sane and Sterling ripped teams to pieces every week. On the left it looks like he’s got to much time, thinks about it to much and loses possession in a comical way.

For me, he is the best RW in the world. He played RW, ST, LW with his manager changing his position and his team mates all the time. When we had a stable front 3 of him, Sane and Aguero, he delivered. Game after game.
