Most confusing player. I've seen him score, I'm pretty sure I've seen him miss a fair few sitters and yet his expected Goals and Assists are pretty bang on the numbers for this season.
Cheers, interesting to get the opinion of a rival....from that comment,it sounds like some of of our supporters have a hyped up/false perception of his talent. He's a good player, but we should be aiming higher than Sterling. It's also not inconceivable that Sterling's level is enhanced by playing in a City team that creates chances galore. Chelsea don't create anywhere near the same level of chances, so would we see City's version of Sterling at Chelsea, or a slightly better version of Pulisic?

So let's all base our opinion of a player, based on the thoughts of one Chelsea supporter.Cheers, interesting to get the opinion of a rival....from that comment,it sounds like some of of our supporters have a hyped up/false perception of his talent.

Nail on headInnit. A random username Chelsea supporter tells him he doesn't think Sterling is good enough and on that basis he's decided those who have watched him week in and week out for nigh on six years have overhyped him.
Let him go find ANY FUCKING ONE in the Chelsea squad with numbers close to Sterling's. Beggars can't be choosers and the idea that Sterling isn't good enough for Chelsea is about as laughable as the idea that he isn't good enough for City.

Compared to notable and popular City strikers of the past, Sterling currently has a better goalscoring ratio than Edin Dzeko, Darren Huckerby, Uwe Rosler, Mario Balotelli, and Niall Quinn. And he's playing at a much higher level, with much greater demands, than all of them.We need a winger who is simply a better finisher than him if he leaves. It's ridiculous, that he is unable to improve his finishing for years.
