Seems like he is pushing for a move... how is Barca not all over this?

Adama Traore is crap and going back to Wolves.

Dembele is not renewing and looking to leave.

They need a ready made elite RW and Sterling is that, factor in that finances are a problem, then City can do a trade plus cash with Frenkie that works for all parties.

This feels so obvious to me, they must be thinking about this.

The only negative factor is both player's salaries and valuations of the two player (although De Jong would be the high valued player due to contract length)

Hearing that he is not happy at the amount of game time he is currently getting.

He has been a great servant to the Club. Surely though, even he would have to admit the last 2 seasons he has been nowhere near good enough.

Not all his fault either to be fair.

He is winger by trade...and has been forced to play as our False 9, as well as on the left, and on the right.

His finishing is not great, but still he has scored a lot of goals.

I would be intrigued to see him reverting back to being just being a winger delivering Balls to Haaland and Alvarez.

It might be shortsighted on his part leaving if it is to do with game time. With 2 recognised Strikers arriving this Summer.

If pep uses wide players next season, then sterling stays because he is the best one on one player we have
but if pep goes for KDB foden B.silva to produce the killer ball to the new strikers, then sterling will find little game time and want to leave because of the world cup

am still trying to work out how we could play next season and get all the forwards in the setup
haaland alvarez foden silva jesus sterling grealish mahrez then you have KDB ? Looking at that list, it's far too top-heavy, and we also have cole palmer and james Mcatee so pep and city have to get 2 or 3 out of the door

There must be some reason why they have decided not to go for de Jong.

Could be his wage demands, or he’s not the right fit for the position they want to fill, or Barca being bellends, or the fact his agent is clearly courting United, or doubts about his personality and fit for the team - we don’t know the reason, but it seems we’ve decided he isn’t the player for us, so there’s little point trying to will it into existence.

It isn’t happening - and there will be a specific reason for that.

Wait, who are the links saying we definitely aren't going for Frenkie?

I always thought our hat was still in the ring.
