Sterling has contributed as much as anyone else during the most successful period in our history. Even without the goals and performances, he's conducted himself flawlessly and been an intrinsic part of a harmonious group of players.
It annoyed me for a long time that certain people would go out of their way to disrespect him until I eventually realised I've got nothing in common with those people other than coincidentally supporting the same club.
It's a shame for those players like Sterling and Navas but moreso for those fans who can't see the value in what they've done for us.

It's a crying shame Pep only tried him at right back in the last couple of months before his contract ran out. If he could have established himself in that position a bit earlier he might still have been here today.Funnily enough Navas is currently one of the best defenders in Spain and captained Sevilla to a Europa League basically the moment he returned to an environment where the fans weren't on his back every fucking game. I suspect Raheem will have a similar rediscovery of form, if he picks his next club wisely.
