I think it’s important we all remember what he’s done for the club. He’s been a fine player for years, scored goals, was the star of the team in terms of ability and public image. He wants a new challenge and to play more, you can’t knock him for that. It’s a shame he’s leaving but allows us to develop a new Sterling. I wish him all the best and will always support him.

You have to remember we have the added option of Bernado going back out wide as well. The more I think about it I hope we don’t sign anyone and try to develop Palmer & Mcatee this year.

I would like to think Raheem would do a similar goodbye video to Gabby, certainly after seven years with us?

If it's just a token thanks on Twitter, I would be disappointed, as it would just reinforce by belief he didn't really connect with City in his heart?

Hopeful he will gladly prove me wrong, as I really want to believe he loved his time here and will always have affection.
To be honest judging by many fans reaction to him during his time and now he's leaving, would you honestly say most city fans connected with him in their hearts? Surely it works both ways. If some can view his time at the club as merely someone who served the club well in winning trophies and achieving its goals, he can also view his time here the same. There are many here who would bite at any slight suggestions of him even being considered a club legend by some considering what he achieved, so it is what it is. He's been the ultimately professional during his time at the club and as long as he remains so once he leaves that's all that matters. Will probably be a written statement thanking the club and fans and that should be enough.

Personally, I feel he did love most of his time at the club but became more disillusioned both personally and professionally the past couple seasons and was the right time to leave. Nothing wrong with that, happens to everyone in all works of life. He's already achieved lots in his time and gets a new challenge while the club also gets to move forward with a new generation. In the end, he's got the club the best possible deal in the process when he could've easily sat on his arse on huge wages, become a rotational player while potentially collecting more medals and got his pick of clubs the following season.

I could see KdB playing on the right of a front three in some games. His quality getting the ball in for Haaland could be important in games against packed defenses.

The five subs thing will hopefully mean more chances for the likes of McAtee, Cole and maybe Delap.

It's going to be an interesting season in terms of how the team will paly.

I back Pep's views over mine too. I still have views.

Pep clearly wanted Raheem to stay, or he wouldn't have been offered a contract.

Situations change, this is it now, lets see nexr
You keep pushing this offering a contact stuff. Do you think city if we wanted him to stay or not, would have happily not offered a player of his age and quality a new contract so we can get a fee for him if he did leave? Give me strength

Wonder if Chelsea will give him the no 7 shirt or will they save that incase a certain narcissistic Portuguese tosser joins.

I will personally miss Sterling. his pace, movement, goal return and injury record will be sorely missed imo. Think he will do really well at Chelsea
