Raheem Sterling MBE

Absolutely not, be had one great season for us and stole a living for all of the rest of the time he was with us.

His last 18 months with us were terrible.
That’s not true at all.

He scored double figures PL goals in 5 straight seasons. He scored 20+ goals in all competitions in 3 straight seasons.

In 2019 only Messi had more g/a than Raheem in Europe:

Yet that wasn’t Raheem’s only good year, because in 2017-18 he scored 18 PL goals with three late winners and got 12 assists; and in 2020-21 he scored 14 goals and got 12 assists.

What I’d give for a player with those numbers now.

He’s one of the greatest wingers to ever play for the club.

Same mate. Any sane person would bite your fucking arm off to sign 2015 Sterling again.
I miss him. I miss Gundo, Kevin, Merlin, Vinny, Leroy, Riyad, Yaya, Kun Delphino, Kyle, Dinho, Aymeric, Big Joe, Zabman. Even Eddie, cos although he wasnt the best shot stopper by heck he was excellent with his feet and distributuon. What a team of class players we had. How spoiled were we??!!

Hells teeth there is no comparison between Raz and Savinho. Makes me sad at what we had.

I wish Raz well, as I do any player who leaves. All apart from Milner, because of the comments he made about us.

My opinion is Pep got the best out of him. When we sold him he didn't push himself and counted the cash.

Good deal for us. Shit for Chelsea and Arsenal.
City had the data on him which showed he was slowing down and losing possibly his biggest asset. The data informed the sale.

So…. Just a hypothetical one :-D

Would anyone have him back on a free in January? Ha.
He knows the club, what Pep wants. Only Pep got the best out of him.

Would he do worse than Savinho or Bobb?

Only 30 years old.
We were talking about this at half time on Saturday, laughed initially but as you say would he be any worse than those two? Came to the conclusion that a short term deal might be worth it. Bringing back Mahrez was also suggested for the same reason although we didn't think he would accept any offer.

Your second paragraph. Sighs me too....

I miss his contributions.

His numbers say otherwise though mate.

His finishing was not world class but his movement was.

Many will say he had De Bruyne, but so did all the other attacking mids and wingers during his time and only Mahrez could match or better Sterlings goal numbers.

He pretty much carried England to the finals of the Euros in 2020 as well. Without him they would have been knocked out much earlier on.

This. The reason he scored so many tap ins was due to his insanely quick and precise movement. Rarely caught offside either.

The lack of respect from some of our fans towards one of our most prolific players in our most dominant team is insane, to me at least.

His movement was world class-loved watching him play-relentless runner, things always happened when he played..
