Rammyblues

Rammyblues update

I received a telephone call this afternoon from my niece to say my brother is now out of bed and sat in a chair, although he remains in the ICU department, and on stabilising drugs, apparently his heart is racing like a runaway train and they are having to slow down with drugs.

Hopefully tomorrow if he remains in a stable condition they will transfer him to a specialist heart unit for a series of tests and scans of his heart. The snag is that the hospital is 30 miles away and there aren't any motorways down were he lives so the transfer will take over an hour and they have to be sure he'll survive the trip.

Many thanks for the kind messages from everyone they are really appreciated.

Great news.

I spoke to Rammy this afternoon by phone, and he's starting to sound like his old self.

I told him I started a thread about him and he wants to thank all of you blues for your prayers and messages of goodwill and support, he really does appreciate it.

He's not out of the woods by a long chalk but he has all his faculties back so he knows about the QPR game etc.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks he'll be back on here saying thanks for himself, and back annoying me with some of the stuff he comes out with...lol Fingers crossed!!!!

Update on rammyblues.

He became well enough earlier this week to be moved to a specialist heart unit and centre of excellence 40 miles from were he lives and although suffering a setback by having another heart attack, he is now receiving treatment for various issues that are wrong with him.

He's now been in hospital 4 weeks or so has lost nearly 3 stone in weight and when they did the smokers test on him it registered that he used to be a smoker and not the heavy smoker result it did last time.

He's bored senseless (which is good as he's getting better) and he hopes he might get home in the next two weeks or so.

Please be gentle with him when he comes back on after that thread he started about "Pelligrini", he's been told not to get excited and as we know that is going to be hard as a City fan.

Once again thanks to all those that have sent PM's and all the messages of goodwill they have been really appreciated.

Just stick on the season review DVD of the Pearce season; that should keep him calm and ''excitement free''.

No need to thank me, it's all the part of the service I offer.

We hope to see you posting back soon Rammy.

Hopefully he'll have some good news tomorrow to cheer him up.

great news Paul. Give the bugger my regards

I've just spoke to him Wes and told him we had won the derby and he was ecstatic. I told him it was a good job he didn't have to sit through those last 20 minutes though and he laughed which causes him pain as every rib has been broken with all the CPR etc.

He has an op next thursday and he hope to be home next Monday if all goes to plan.

Again thanks to everyone for their kind messages it really is appreciated.

Update on rammyblues

Great news. Today is a day both myself and the rest of the family thought we'd never see, rammyblues has recovered enough to be allowed home.

No doubt in the coming days he'll be popping on here, but from my point of view I just want to say a huge thank you to all the blues on here that have offered messages of goodwill and support through what has been a traumatic time for us, it really has been appreciated by everyone.
