He made a big mistake coming to City. He was an excellent young prospect but was never good enough for us. The 'leap' was too great.
He should have stayed at Fulham to develop further, but you can't blame him for taking the opportunity, and Fulham no doubt saw £12.5m as great money for a breakthrough player.
Decent lad, decent career, including SPL medals. Better than most lads!

An Isreali, Nir Bitton, played on trial for us and was going to sign during Mancini's reign but fell through due to work permit issues. We even spelled his name wrong on the shirt.

My first match at the COMS was a 7-1 win against Barnsley in the Carling Cup. Barry Conlon scored for them and to this day I've never seen a reaction like it from a crowd, everyone burst into laughter around us

For me he went missing too often in matches, yes he was capable of great moments of skill and scored a few belters for the youth sides but that can never be enough at the very top level, a bigger contribution is needed.
