I know the answer!

I need to know this answer since Frank Skinner asked the same question 8 years ago, go on then.

I believe it's something to do with the nutritional content of dog food these days. In the past dog food wasn't as good for dogs as it is now. I think the whiteness of the poo comes from calcium which becomes more obvious once said turd has dried out.
