Rangers thread 2024/25

The bookies are giving you 6/1 steau

Steau -1 are as high as 18/1.

Looking at a Rangers forum this morning. And they're commenting on rumours that slippy G has been sacked by Al Ettifaq. The consensus on there is that they'd have him back at Ibrox in a heartbeat. Seriously. He had one good season there, then he left to manage Villa. Where he was a disaster. He's gone 5 games without a win in Saudi Arabia, and his side were knocked out of the Saudi King's Cup by a second division side. Why would they want him?

Is the answer " because they're fucking mental" ?

What a week they’re having.

1. £17m loses announced. Even if they find another mug who will torch many millions, FFP means they can’t. How they got away with posting massive loses every year since 2012, yet spending money they borrow to buy in players.

2. Of all the new players signed by Le Waffler, only 3 started. The rest were bought by Tricky Micky and Gio. No derogatory name for him. He was a player and is a cool guy. I agreed with No 8 that they pulled the trigger too quickly.

3. They go 3rd with a loss to Aberdeen who have put a team together for £2m spend in the summer.

4. The cycle goes on. Sack a messiah, find a new one, recruit useless cunts, sack the new messiah and spend money they don’t have on players who should be nowhere near a jersey. Rebuilds every season that fails, due to recruiting pricks, on good money too.

5. We get a point last week that moves us closer to qualifying and more money. We can bring in three players in January for the CL squad. They too need to be in the £10-13m bracket. We can afford it. Win league and with a much stronger squad negotiate the qualifying draw for next years CL and another £60m. And repeat. Now a very large fly is will board continue to invest? If they don’t we regress and can be caught. This is a real possibility.

Interesting....

I wonder if the rags will have him should they not get their first choice?

:)
