Rangers thread | 2025/26

Even Lovenkrants said they outplayed you both legs. You keep mixing up luck with talent. So many of your wins you watch but and say, how the fuck dud that mob rise to them? Missed chances galore, go back and watch them. You will get better, but last night, yiu were pitiful and if they pricks had taken their chances, you woujd gave lost 9 3 over the two legs. So 1 game in. Nothing to fear.
Is it not two games?

You do realise we missed more clear chances at Ibrox than they had?

Do you forget about Dessers 1 on 1?

The only goal they scored was a miscued header that wrong footed Butland and was very tight offside call

The defence is a worry and we desperately need a LCB and a LB. Young Aaron’s is being hung out to dry playing out of position. He looks a decent player but never a LB.

You will get better, but, if you had played anyone with their boots on the right feet, would have put you out. These games are a nightmare to begin with, without fucking about at the back and giving them the ball.

We find out Monday morning who we play. Like you. we are about 4 players short as per. Supposed to be going for a CB, Victor Ericsson, in the Lawell tickly bit zone, £2m. We will probably offer £200k.

Lucky to get a draw. Motherwell the far better team. Motherwell striker myst be a ringer. The lad was fucking woeful. Love hearing the bear boos ringing out. Lifts my spirits. We welcone the chase.

Martin pulling no punches post match. Talking about a mentality problem, and that some of the players have to drop their egos. And of there being a default position at the club where players go into self preservation mode when things aren't going well. He may well be right, but it's not going to endear him to the players. And if he loses the dressing room, he's gone. The travelling fans made their feelings known at the end of the game.

He's already gone, we are just hanging about to when, in that form. They will improve, but not enough hopefully, to get my eyebrows raised. Lovely eyebrows too, full and volumptious, trimed to perfection and practically impossible to tame.

I assume, which is not always a great start, that he had already made his feelings known to the players, before speaking to the media Perhaps a message, to the board, with the window still open.
Feel like he is a good coach and at Southampton they weren't expected to win week in week out. So less pressure from the supporters. This is probably the first real test of his managerial abilities.

He made his feelings known to the public after the Middlesbrough friendly. There are players at the club who are not wanted by the manager or who simply don’t want to be there but have to be in the first team squad as we can’t bring in the players we need until we have moved others on

Dessers , Igamane and Raskin could bring in £30+ million to the club. We are now in a position where we don’t need to just accept any offers that come in but the money generated from these sales could move the club forward.

Ben Davies , Ridvan, Cifuentes, Matondo are stealing massive wages out the club week in week out!! We need them gone!!

The vast majority of the supporters will stick by the manager as these players have proven themselves to be mentally weak.

Then again there is a vocal minority of fucking crackpots that wanted Stevie G and nobody else will do. They are not worth listening to and best ignored

Rangers have the easier of the opening round of fixtures and should be looking at a 4+ points advantage after the first quarter. Dropping two points yesterday wasn’t the best of starts but not going to get overly upset

Give it a couple of weeks. :)

Looks like an interesting season, Rangers and Celtic looking very poor with slow starts. Maybe a capital team or Aberdeen can knock the bheasts off top spot

I was wondering what happened to No 8 last night. Making his feelings crystal. :).
Not clicking on the clip above. Dafties will be dafties and every team has them.

RM is spot on about players mentality. By all accounts Celtic were equally as dire but they get the job done!!

This Rangers team have consistently performed well in Europe. Take Top 5 league teams out of the rankings and only Porto , Benfica and Club Brugge are ahead of us. Now that same team have consistently failed to perform domestically against pretty average opponents

RM said exactly the same when Southampton boss....never his fault, always the players! See he hasn't 'changed his philosophy' either.....fucking around at the back giving the ball away, so much for his interview when appointed......told you he wouldn't change ;)

Hahaha

Early days mate.

He’s spot on about players attitude.

Got to wait until he has his players on the park.

Continuing with Aaron’s at left back is a worry. Our left back is a Young 21 year old with promise. OK he has his faults but if he didn’t he wouldn’t be at Rangers!

Huge game tonight. Delighted we got past Panathinaikos but Plzen have performed well in Europe over the last few seasons and probably too good and too soon for this Rangers team.

He may well be; I don't watch them week in, week out, so I can't say. Those on follow follow are VERY critical of some of the players. But they're also critical of RM. Whether they're typical of the average match going fan, I don't know. I suspect, though, that RM hanging the players out to dry in public like that is a high risk strategy. Some of the players may well not take too kindly to it. And if Martin loses the dressing room, it'll only end one way for him. Badly.

The mentalists are out in force today on FF. They are almost trying to out mental each other

Drawing away to Motherwell in your first game is not ideal but we are half way through a transfer window and 3 or 4 new signings haven’t even started yet!!

1986/87 We got humped at Easter Road opening day. IIRC we beat a poor Falkirk midweek then dropped points at home against Dundee United. East Fife also took us to penalty kicks and had a penalty to knock us out the league cup. Our bus broke down that day and was first Rangers game I’d missed in Scotland in three years!! Thank god these mentalists were not around in those days. Souness would have been hounded out!!
