Rangnick quits consultancy role (Pg 89)

It's not quite clicked yet but you can see a progressive style of play beginning to emerge. He's going to need at least next season to fully implement his ideas but it's clear they have a quality manager on their hands.

Have I got the hang of this?
That's certainly the narrative from the perma-deluded Home Counties rags who post on the Pistonheads Forum united thread, I can highly recommend it for wumming as an alternative to redcafe.

No, no, no. We need them to keep believing all that shit, otherwise they might do something about it.

Absolutely mate!

You look at that club and it’s like a bad 90s tribute act, infested with entitled cynicism and the reflected glory of someone else’s achievements from long ago.

And it’s that deep-rooted entitlement that’s paralysing them at the moment, stopping them from actually doing anything meaningful to change or improve their situation.

The moment they genuinely acknowledge they’re just another football club amongst many with no god-given right to anything, they might actually start to dismantle the crippling ineptitude and dewy-eyed nostalgia which is holding them back, and build a structure genuinely fit for the future.

As it stands, they seem to be riddled with a blind belief that - because they’re Manchester United, and they’re special - some kind of mercurial, unquantifiable, fantastical alchemy which lives inside those who genuinely understand the club will see them win through.

It’s a fucking fairy story - pure fantasy - but it’s so powerfully intoxicating for their fans, as long as they and their paid lackeys in the mainstream media continue peddling the myth, no-one’s going to force them into taking action.

Fuck ‘em - long may it last.

absolutely correct. Along with a sickening sentimentality and sanctimonious narrative about 'always doing things the right way'......in common with Liverpool and Arsenal. No self depreciating humour is tolerated.

27 goals conceded,in the league ..
On course for 60+ by end of the season.
How much did that defence cost?

Whiskey nose is the problem just like Busby was when he retired. Who wants an ex boss stalking the corridors. Long may he stay tho.
Yep, he should be nowhere near the place. Sat there every game like the grim reaper. Long may it continue!!
