It needs drums and a group of ultras who enjoy the moment in order to create an atmosphere
Every brilliant atmosphere up and down England who don’t have this every season shows this is not the case. There isn’t a drum lead atmosphere anywhere as good as our atmospheres in the home derby or Liverpool game this season.

Every good traditional English atmosphere shits all over the Europop Ultras drummerboy bollocks where their songs have no words and are just monotonous “ooooaahhh weeooaahhh naaa naaaa naa derr de de derrrrrr deerrrr oooaahwooaahhh” bang ba ba bang bang ba ba bang borefests.

From Norway to Sicily, Portugal to Russia, they’re all the same with the exact same indentikit songs and fanbases all dressed in the same silly £2.50 t-shirts with heavy metal writing on saying they’re ‘SofiaHools’ and wearing silly masks posting #nopyronoparty on every Instagram post they make.

I really don’t like it. Give me a proper English atmosphere over all that shite every single day!

We just need to shift our stadium about so we have a proper home chanting end and a much less reduced family stand to make it better at City.

The main piece / part of a good atmosphere is...……. Fans ! Not a drum or whistle or clapper or trombone, if those fans aren't up for it no matter what you try its going to flop.

One of the loudest sets of fans to come to Etihad was Lech Poznan, no drums no naaa naaa derrrrr wooooah ! They just all sang and clapped.

Ok I don't think we will ever get to that level, our on the spot response songs and player songs / club anthems dont fit the type of singing Poznan did.

But it is possible to get a very loud atmosphere like derby day & dippers game regularly. The fans are there, but they don't join in unless it is a big game. We score against the dippers and we sing "Guardiola song", 2,000 fans with hands clapping sing the song. We play Palace at home and if you are lucky after a goal 500 sing the same song. Its the same fans though.

As for the club survey, I think some people still do believe there is some sort of magic wand that can be waved and all of a sudden the stadium will be bouncing every game.

You are right though, every body from SS leve 3 / Kippax corner / 115 area SS / any other areas needs to move over to the new north stand development when it is done. We could have 2,000 or more hard core singers then behind the goal. We have tried to congregate many times over the years since we moved from main road. The north stand will be the last chance, its all about making that work.

The announcer is a downer everytime i hear him he make sit all about him. Mannnchesterrr (deep breath) cittttyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy (gasp).so deperate for the crowd to cheer..... cant he just fkn announce it. U wudnt here the ufc guy or boxing guy be like "lets get ready to rumbllleee....." in the style of our announcer....stealing a living......

The atmosphere is great in big games, eg Liverpool this year, Barcelona 2016 etc.

If you want more noise every week the answer has always been obvious, safe standing and cheaper tickets with some well thought out relocation. Get a load of beered up 16-25s in, job done.

No bloody drums though!
