Ray Sambrook..anyone remember him?

I remember both Sambrook and Coleridge both unfortunateley were pretty dire wingers. Sambrook had no pace.
They were there at the start of the downward spiral after the team that won the cup in 56 was being dispanded.

I think it was Clive Colbridge, I started watching in 1959, I think the two you mentioned soon faded to be replaced by David Wagstaffe & Nelly Young.
 
I remember both Sambrook and Colbridge. Neither was much cop in a poor City side. The emergence of first David Wagstaffe and then Neil Young as wingers meant their days were numbered. Interestingly Waggy established himself before Nelly, being a year or two older, and as both were left footed (Nelly hopelessly so) Nelly was put on the right wing.
