Yep, I've supported City for about 35 years and I never heard Citizens (or Cityzens, as they prefer to spell it) being used to describe City until social media came about.

For me we were always the 'Blues' (super for about the same amount of time as I started going mid-80's).

I think we may have created a rod for our own back with the schtick of 'true Mancunians support City'.

We have had that nickname for decades ever since I started supporting back in the 60’s and along time before. I don’t use it

He is not the absolute most dominant defender, yes. But he is far above average defensively. People are making him to be Trent Alexander Arnold.

He is actually above your average defender in defensive qualities.
