Not to me it doesn't.

Although Txiki has served us well he's 18 years older(60) than Viana and wants out for a well earned rest. He's done a good job as mentor to Hugo as they've just got 2 top class players to put pen to paper with Cherki to sign. Hugo has the drive and energy to take over the reigns and co working with Txiki means a smooth as possible transition, so all is good I think.

What a signing this is, it’s great on 2 levels as it pushes Gvardiol into his favoured position and he can always cover in his absence . Just these 3 additions will surely give fresh impetus to push for all major trophies again. A returning Rodri and Oscar Bobb , Foden and Haaland firing again and the likes of Marmoush, Doku being firecrackers next season is a scary prospect for the opposition .
If we can just get a right back we are laughing !!

I am very happy that City are signing such a good footballer. I have admired his game for quite a while. All he has to do is play like he has done for Wolves for Manchester City and he will a success but we can anticipate that he will improve further under Pep and alongside the quality players that are at Manchester City.
