Rayan Cherki - Welcome to City

What I noticed was the sudden improvement in his game

2023/24: 39 apps, three goals, nine assists
2024/25: 44 apps, 12 goals, 20 assists

Welcome Rayan Cherki. You follow in the much loved footsteps of Ali Benarbia and Riyadh Mahrez.
That improvement was mostly from February onwards as well, certainly in terms of output. The talent has always been there, however. Much as with Marmoush, we now seem to be striking when players have turned from fairly cold to particularly hot.

Did we get him and Hugo to add to the “row of grinning beards “ ?
Looking forward to seeing this kid next season .

His two footedness is exciting. Regardless of position, anybody who can use both feet effortlessly have so much more potential.
Very true. If we play Cherki on the right then teams will no longer be able to double-mark Doku.

We'll have Ait-Nouri overlapping Doku perhaps and Cherki on the other wing. Opposition managers won't know what to do.

No video?! Ffs how are we meant to know how delighted he is to join Manchester City Football Club or how its such a pleasure to play for Manchester City Football Club or how he always dreamed of playing for Manchester City Football Club or how it's all a dream and he can't wait to meet the fans and haha he doesn't mind the weather haha?!?!

I hope there'll be a chicken based goal celebration to look forward to. Also if his passing as as straight as his side parting, he'll do alright by me!

They don't know how good he is yet. They will find out and they are going to be devastated.
Tbf I don't know how good he is either. All I know he's been a wonder kid since he was like 15/16, his performances in a City shirt will convince me.

Not everyone, you wouldn't know if I was right or left footed, and I don't, and never had, too much potential! Seriously though....it does wind me up seeing pros cutting back because they can only use one foot, I used to take corners, both sides with either foot (and clear the first defender).
