It exhibits such a poor understanding of pep guardiola to say Cherki isn't a pep player because he's actually the ultimate pep player. low block unlocking cheat code.

He is right and many here thought/ think the same. It starts with all the freedom and the fact that he MIGHT about run as much as Pep would like him to

Totally agree, I know it’s off topic but over a 2 year period 2009-2011 Tevez is the best I’ve seen in a City shirt. KDB did it for longer of course.
Yeah, i’d probably agree. Would have Sergio down as our best ever striker but out of the top 3 we’ve had I say Tevez was the most complete

Pep has made hardworkers out of initially lazy players, and he's going to have to again with Haaland.

If he manages it with Cherki it'll be a hell of a challenge but you'd have an insanely talented player at the end of it.

Plus to go from the comfort of Lyon and maybe getting to finish 2nd behind PSG if its a good year to challenging for Champions Leagues, to being the creative force to succeed Kev maybe Cherki has already committed to working harder out of possession.

There is no such thing as a Pep player. You can't get any further apart stylistically than Messi and Erling. Yet, he has built successful teams around both.
What Pep does is change his style tactics to succeed. Yes, keeping possession is key. Yet we play nothing like we did during Peps first couple of years. Nor do we play anything his Munich or Barca teams. Pep has seen that we need to tweak our system and style and that why we are going for a player like Cherki.

It's about the attitude he will take if he comes here.

He's only 21 years old and has been on a team that has been struggling for 2 years now on the pitch and off the pitch. They have gone through multiple managers and a lot of the stuff he has been accused of has been out of his control.

I think Pep and Co see an immensely talented player, who they can get for a very low fee, who they believe they can get in their infrastructure, and get to buy into our system and develop.

People get infatuated with the 21-22-year-old players who have always been elite and have no "Major" flaws in their games, when the reality is a lot of the elite players today had flaws in their games at 20-23.

I feel like I'm fucking going mental about Pep sometimes. What have you all been watching? Have you let idiots on Twitter make you believe he "coached creativity out of Grealish"?

Pep wants his team to set before you do something stupid with the ball, and if you move out of position he wants other players to take up position in case you lose it, and if you do lose it he wants you to win it back as quickly as possible. That's it. But he loves creativity. Obviously he loves creativity.

No one is saying he's a shit manager, Pep has a very strict way he wants his team to play. Its all tailor made and there's very little room to alter the manager's plans.

Except he gave KDB the freedom to express himself. Pep will give players leeway if they are able to be that difference where it matters.

Who the fuck is that and why would anyone care? Might as well ask my postman tomorrow and I’ll share his reaction tomorrow. Literally some random person lol
Half these pundits and clowns that get air time know fuck all, youd get better insight from blokes down the pub

Indeed, and Thierry Henry spoke with great authority and understanding about this. He was clear that you operate within a strict framework but that in certain areas of the pitch you have absolute license to do what you need.

He's a bit like a bulked up Kinkladze

Just because many here thought the same doesn't mean they are also not exhibiting the same poor understanding of pep's football! Ultimately we're gonna have the ball a lot. and that means we need a player who's got the creativity to unlock low blocks. Pressing when you have 65% possession is easier than pressing when you have 30% possession. Being slow matters less when you're already closer to goal. He is the ultimate pep player.
