Fatshaming and maybe bad attitude. But he’s genuinly built like a supporter.

Pep will probably send him to a fitness bootcamp even if we sign him in time for the club world cup.

Seems like a two footed midfield version of Mahrez with an eye for a linebreaking pass. There is definitely a player there, but I have no idea if Pep will actually want to use him.

He reminded me of Barney Daniels only with 2 good feet and plenty of skill.

So I think most people are excited and rightfully so, he is a cracking player who's very cheap. but can we discuss a little bit about the downsides? I struggle to believe no team has wanted to take a punt on him for this sort of price unless there was something going on.

I've heard a lot about "attitude" issues and they don't bother me as much. I think when you move to a new country it's much harder to have a big ego, much less maintain it when you are surrounded by world class players.

I am a little worried about his work rate. I don't know what the team will look like with Cherki and Haaland barely pressing. Could be fine with Rodri & Reijnders behind them to be fair!

Reminds of when nobody took a chance on Dmitri Payet because he had similar "stories" surrounding him and West Ham took the punt.

It didn't work out long term but he came in and got 12 goals and 15 assists in his first season.

If Cherki does that for us it would be a great return.

I'm kind of keen but I'll play devil's advocate. Every place ins our squad is valuable, so is it a great return if it means we don't sign someone who would be a longer term safer bet?

Feels a bit like a luxury signing. We're already carrying Grealish and lots of people are turning on Doku just because he's more exposed by that. We can't afford passengers.

I'd love to see us get him and for it to work out because you can see he obviously has the talent to become world class.

He's also only 20. I don't think many of us could say we were as sensible and level headed aged 20 as we are now. Maybe a strong figure like Pep is just what he needs.

This whole attitude issues is from when he was like 17/18. He doesn't have attitude issues anymore.

His workratw wasnt good in his first year's but this past season he's been pulling is weight in that aspect as well.

Would be a no brainier signing for like 20 to 30m if it doesn't work loan him out and sell again for 20m to 30m

Does he play centrally or just another player to share minutes with Doku, Savinho, Marmoush, Foden. Seems overkill on the wings

He's a 10 but he can play on the wings as well. He's did it against United for 110 minutes and worked hard.

Not sure how true the comments about his workrate and attitude are, but he looks like a Bernardo replacement to me. Operates really well in tight spaces. If you got him to run and run and run and to be that tidy composed player on the ball that he is. He's probably produce more from wide areas if played there. A good option to have. Just doesn't seem to be a player we need unless Echeverri is going elsewhere next season, which I doubt.

Agreed, if pep can work his magic, big time signing but it's still a risk.
