Also helps us in the homegrown players department (why you have to pay a premium on English players). If we’re looking at it fairly, I would say Gibbs-White’s major strength is his work rate, while Cherki is more creative. Price may be a factor, too.

85 mil apparently for MGW is bonkers. I’d understand if he was a bonafide superstar. But doesn’t he have the same BCC as Bernardo in 2025. All that money for an Englishman to run up and down the pitch ? Doesn’t seem wise. He’s not a scrub either but yea he’s definitely not the shiniest toy
