has it been worked out tho why is he so cheap?

what makes Rennes sell Doku to us for 52m or so, but Cherki from a stronger club after a way better season he just had (than Doku's last season at Rennes) is on peanuts price.

French teams aint afraid to charge high, remember the guy went from Lille to Arsenal that winger, 60m+ and was a colossal flop.

is it some release clause? or is it all twatter bullshit and by the time we get him it will be 59m or so...

Our scouts must have been absolutely convinced with Doku because he was never worth that money.

He had done nothing of note to justify that price and the only other team interested at the time was West Ham.

To be fair to Pepe, whilst Arsenal did over pay, he had a 15 goal season then a 22 goal league campaign from the wing and was wanted by a lot of teams, he outscored Neymar and Cavani that year he went to Arsenal and finished only behind Mbappe in the scoring.

He was valued closer to what Doku was bought for.

Doku was a £25m footballer at Rennes imo.

You got to remember with Cherki he only has 1 year left and Lyon desperately needs the money. They are cornered with his deal.
