Romano is definitely adamant that it's happening. If we get this done for under €40m it's a steal, if it happens for under €30m then, jesus, well done Hugo & Txiki

Not entirely sure why you are challenging my interest in how we get round the fee/gentleman's agreement - I believe it will happen, just interested to see how we do it as it is seemingly more complex.

verbal agreements counts for nothing, if hes a **** about it, we pay what the owner wants or not.

if he has anything in writing we're good though, but doesnt sound like it
 
My only fear is the memory of Hazard saying he picked blue over red only for it being a darker shade of blue.
 
That little signature ball roll straight into a pass is pretty good, isn't it? Don't think I've seen anyone do it as quickly or consistently as him.

I'm excited about Ait-Nouri and Reijnders but this guy is going to be considered one of the best players in the world by January.

No, we will pay what they are willing to accept, which often isn't the same as what the owner wants, and deals are multifaceted.

Edit: Ah you changed the post. Yep I agree about verbal agreements and I think we're good regardless, I'm just interested to see how it pans out.
 
Looks really good and I imagine he is, we don't get too many transfers that wrong, just the odd clanger

Not gonna sit here and call him the next Kev, David Silva etc...that's rag behavior, comparing someone they've barely seen to legends.

Let him breathe. It's not up to us to declare him up there with legends. If he is, he'll certainly show it on the pitch.

think its come down to the wording off 'get round it' we just pay up what it takes. apologies for the confusion on my part.

He’s a better creator than David Silva. Silva was unrivalled in terms of controlling a game but for pure creativity, Cherki is on another level even to Silva.
 
I sincerely hope my fellow travellers on the match day thread will refrain (at least for the first couple of games) from tearing strips off Rayan if he cruises around the pitch and occasionally doesn't track back.

Even if he sets up three goals a game, that won't satisfy my match day mates :)

It’s a shame, because Foden had all the potential to be a dynamic player like that but has tailored his game in other ways instead.

Which is fine, he can still be effective, but just not *as fun* to watch.

Viewing the matchday thread is like looking in the window of a mental institution, as long as you always remember that the participants are nuts, and you just stay on the outside looking in for amusement you'll be fine.....but be careful.
 
Hope we can hear "Here we go!" today. This might be the most exciting signing for me this window.
