Perhaps its coz he has w Maradona bounce about him. I sensed a slight left footedness. Its probably all in my head. :)

Personally, i think he is left footed, but extremely capable with the right.

It's an important things when we're talking about packed defences like we usually face. Phil, Erling and Savinho are 90% left foot, and it makes it so much easier for defenders when there's little space and attackers are desperate to get it on their good foot.

There is absolutely no way to tell when you watch him. It's mental.

(The message you quoted included an aborted reaction to Lyon not having a special rivalry with PSG. I wanted to correct this as there is a recent history of extremely violent clashes between supporters and PSG definitely are in the top foe list along with Saint-Etienne and Marseille. But the thread goes too fast and I'm at work...)

That pass from the centre circle last night when he got it on the turn, the defender marking him went to block a pass with his left foot. So he just switched to his right instead and sent Gusto on his way at right back.

Ridiculous technical ability.

How can you, as a defender, read what he's going to do when he could go either way when he gets it? Ludicrous.

News just in…

There I was, just polishing off a corned beef and tomato sauce sarnie and a slice of Soreen - actually it was washed down nice with my sixth bottle of Stella - when this fine aircraft landed.

No sooner had it touched down, I was over like a shot trying to get a snap through the window.

The pilot gave me a few choice words, something about killing us all, but it turns out there were no French international footballers on board.

I’m back in my tent for now. I’m going to get the Subbuteo Astro pitch out and try to squeeze in the Scottish Cup quarter final between Hibs and St Mirren while this rain cloud blows over. Celtic have already beaten Aberdeen and Rangers got past Motherwell just before lunch.

I’ll keep you all informed of any news. Over and out for now!
 
is it just me or he could lose a few kgs? lets hope not another Phillips situation with weight haha
 
Great to think the scousers might be spewing that they lumped in with Wirtz, can’t exactly shit on him now by switching targets, lol.

Probably could but it's not like we're relying on Cherki to do any dirty work in the middle of the pitch like Phillips tbf. Cherki just needs to collect the ball and ping it lol

I think you got a pretty good glimpse of his qualities last night, especially passing. Sharp cutting pass through the lines are his trademark.
