just rumors PSG is trying to "not bribe" them..

Who knows.. but I certainly wouldn't put it past them!
They will sell to City if the price is right because the player wants City.

City are not in a weak position here. It only goes tits up if Lyon cut their nose off to spite their face.

If this is the case you can be sure that they will try to milk us for every bit that they can.

They really can’t they need a sale

Quick summary of Lyon’s situation with the DNCG (based on what many OL fans understand so far):Last winter, the DNCG (French football’s financial watchdog) issued a conditional administrative relegation for OL — unless their financial situation is corrected by the end of the season.

The issue is: no one really knows the exact conditions OL must meet. Some reports mention a target of €75M, but nothing officially confirmed. To make things more complicated, there’s a lot of financial juggling going on between John Textor’s various clubs (Lyon, Botafogo, RWD Molenbeek, etc.), and it’s unclear what funds actually end up in OL’s accounts.

What is known:•OL selling Benrahma and Caqueret•Amin Sarr’s €4.5M option is expected to be triggered•Potential summer exits of high earners (Lacazette, Matic, Tagliafico, Cherki)•Botafogo might also sell players to help the balanceSo it’s possible they’ll meet DNCG requirements through these moves — but as of today, nothing is certain.

And there’s a growing feeling the DNCG is stricter with Lyon than with other clubs.Final decision is expected on June 24, which is why OL will likely try to sell Rayan Cherki before then to secure funds in time

Cherki himself said on live TV everyone knows where he’s going.
Fabrizio Romano says pretty much daily he’s coming to us and it’s very advanced.

So we have the actual player himself and the number 1 transfer guy both saying it’s happening.

We couldn’t really ask for anymore.
Yet if a couple of unknown kids on Twitter post something, people listen to them instead? Ha… ok then!

It's just you making up the rumours isn't it?

Unless you got the link or the source of the rumour.

I seem to remember we wanted Hossem Aouar and they quoted us a ridiculous fee, we walked away and they lost the player on a free to Milan!

This was in 2020??

So no rumor making.. just memories of a deal that didn't work out.. certainly not as bad as Napoli who we went in for Jorginho and Koulibaly and walked away from both because of the ridiculous prices quoted!

So you’re saying because you think something happened 5 years ago you think the same thing will happen 5 years later? Ok, that’s a great source

I'm just surprised that Ait Nouri and Reijnders seem like they were swifter negotiations when Cherki is a ridiculous market opportunity.

No I think what he’s saying is that we’ve shown them that we will walk away if they take the piss and last time it damaged them more than it damaged us, so they’re less likely to take the piss again.

I think the deal is probably verbally agreed and it will get announced after today's match is over, Le Equipe reported the 22.5m bid right after the Spain match too so it makes sense
