They're twenty-four hours behind the times at least. Shoddy journalism.
Having read the Equipe article closely, it is in fact claimed that there's the possibility of a one-year loan from our side. Bobb is ruled out, but James McAtee and Echeverri are named as potential recruits.
From my point of view, I can't see what earthly interest such a move might represent for James. He's already been on loan at Sheffield United, and learnt what he could there. He's 22. I'd be amazed if he or his agent were interested. Wouldn't be surprised if he asked for a definite move to another club within England (good Championship team? lower half of Premier League?). I wish it for him. Echeverri's that much younger, and hasn't had much game time at City as yet. It makes a bit more sense. Maybe…

wouldn't we would lose out on any money for McAtee if this did happen? With his contract up end of next. season

It's weird how the information in the item in effect seems to contradict the headline. Or perhaps I no longer understand the meaning of the word “chase”.
