RB Leipzig (A) | Post Match Thread

Walker is finished mate. He's even being done for pace now.

The loss of David Silva and the downturn in Kev cannot be overstated.

We have gone from the most creative team in the world to one which looks for inspiration and is now rigid in its functionality and that allows teams to plan for just staying in games.

Bellingham is a must and also need a world class playmaker.
Mac Allister or De Jong or somebody else ?

And yes probably but CL (knockouts) is a lot of luck. Any other day we beat Madrid last season and that isn't on him for me. I think the players were responsible that day to see it out. I am never judging a manager based on missing out on the CL, its just a competition with the finest of margins. Today could have and should have ended with us getting a penalty and probably an advantage but it din't.
Questions certainly need to be asked about this game.. Clear foul on Dias for their goal and the lack of VAR scrutiny for the handball, regardless of the time left is evidence (for me) that the game is rotten and certain teams (us included) aren’t welcome to compete for these honours

Finding a new Silva is going to be hard going. We got lucky with Dave. City entered a period of transition a while ago and we need to be patient. Same goes for Haaland.

It’s infuriating but we don’t have the right tools anymore. The rest of the season is going to be a slog. The fact we are still in with a chance of winning is a credit to the manager and players.

Perhaps we’ve been spoilt. After all we are still in with a chance of winning 3 trophies. And a draw away from home is a good result.

But post Christmas last night seemed to sum the team up. Keep possession, don’t threaten and at some point get overrun by an opponent who senses that we are not trying to score.

Gosh this is an angry thread!! Seeing more anger these last few weeks, partly performance and results based, but I'm also guessing there's a lot of latent anger from the PL thing kicking about as well

Pre match I thought Draw was a decent result at a very tricky team that, let's be honest, had the exact style of play that City haven't fared well against for seasons, even at our pinnacle.

Admittedly at HT the perspectives change and we didn't make ourselves look good, surrendering that control. Haaland was so angry towards full time, that hardly went unnoticed. I do think hooking Grealish or Mahrez for a midfield presence 15 from the end would have been sensible, but that's just me.

But it's a draw, I really can't get on board with some of the rage, especially shocking from some level headed posters.
Absolutely mate, everyone would have settled for a draw before the game, some normal level headed posters actually losing the plot, second half they changed their tactics, my only criticism is Pep should have changed it, but a draw is still a good result, and let's not forget the stonewall penalty and their dubious goal, upwards and onwards blues !!

First clip shows his forearms forward away from the body, batting the ball away. Second clip doesn't disprove anything and still, to me, looks like it hits his forearm first.

Really?

Looks to me like the 2nd clip shows it actually doesn't go near his raised hand and hits the outside of his upper arm.
