RB Leipzig (H) - CL | Post-Match Thread

Watching the replays of their goals and seeing Ake not really to blame for any of the goals makes me wonder if people are taking the piss.
The second, at a push could be classed as bad positioning but then Zinchenko was as much to blame.
At risk of not wanting to jump on a city player… too late, as a city player he averages a goal against every 70 mins. By all accounts thats terrible compared to our overall record. Not every goal is his fault, but there is a pattern. 3 today, 3 vs Newcastle, 5 vs Leicester. If hes going to stay he needs to step up. Hes essentially otamendi 2.0 He turned it around, see if Ake can

Very entertaining game though, good for de bruyne and foden minutes

I don' know what to take from this game, they played like they didn't bother conceding 3 because they were confident in scoring 6. Or playing no-nine, score 6 and yet...no-nine doesn't score. Much more interesting was Pep vs Riyad, it looked Pep wanted to take his head off.

First half Leipzig went 3 or 4 up when the ball was played around our defence, or backwards from midfield to central defence area. Even at 2-0 they looked ready to pounce, sometimes City found the long out ball to an unmarked Grealish, but they were successful in turning it over quickly and wasn't surprised they scored, with belief to get back in the game. Glad that wasn't a 1st leg last 16, we're in for more of the same on matchday 6 at their place. Let's take more than 30 over there eh?

Strange game, but if you can score 6 against Germany's 2nd best team last season, and could have had 8 or 9 then there's not much wrong. Having Walker plus Laporte/Stones back will tighten us up defensively for the battles to come. Thats 16 goals in 3 home games, remarkable!
