Every fan has their own story, and you really shouldn’t need to explain that. It’s hard enough for everyone at the minute and everyone who supports the club, deserves credit. People judging others on when they leave or how loud they sing etc, should get in the bin! It was a good night all round and I hope you made it home on your rail replacement service, just as others who will have countless other stories. (Yet some just say shame on you for not staying to applaud the team, without a thought).

I get that times are hard, same as any other clubs fans but why is it hard for so many of our fans NOT to stay another 15 mins to clap the team off after a performance like that? Not sure what more the team can do.

Apart from the fact people can choose to do what they wish...........that extra 15 mins might add another hour or more on top of some journey times home.When you have a job,or other commitments,that involve an early start,no further explanation or justification to others is necessary.

I'm sure everyone would love to stay as long as possible,but often life gets in the way......people should be commended for turning up to a midweek game on a freezing miserable night instead of being demonised for having to leave early.

I had to do some googling as I'm not familiar with these personalities or a poundshop for that matter. I don't see anything wrong with the article just a poster with a beef and an uncontrollable urge to drop their politics and their irrelevant personal preferences in this forum.

One of the most impressive displays in this competition ever by an English side. Total domination against a very very good side from one of the best leagues in Europe who have some of the most promising talent in the game.

I’m very happy with that performance. Control/pace and a willingness to get forward and create chances. Looking very good at the back with Ruben back on the side.

The so called experts who think de Bruyne is finished will hopefully knock it on the head for a while now. Guy is class and will be for a while yet.

Harsh penalty if we are being honest and fair. Where’s his arms meant to go.

Could have given a foul on the keeper for the second goal.

Ederson was rash but got away with it.

Apart from a one minute spell on the first half that is as dominant a game of football you are likely to see at this level.

Rag fans on the wrong end of a 7-0 thrashing for the second time in as many weeks!

Both City and utd involved in 7 goal thrillers a couple of weeks apart. What a great time it is for football in Manchester

Fantastic performance from start to finish. Stones looks like he has played that position all his life. Only concern on the night for me was Ederson, but the way he moves the ball outweighs his flaws.

The penalty was an absolute joke but I'll take it after the one we didn't get in the away leg.
The only slight disappointment was that we eased off for the final 30 minutes apart from KDB's magnificent seventh, as we had a chance to better our record CL score (7-0 v Schalke four years ago).
Watched the highlights later and the number of decent saves by their keeper meant it really could have been double figures.

Brilliant result and everyone hit top form. As the commentator said, nobody will want to draw us in the next round.

VAR was our friend for a change - handball for penalty, don't think so and Eddie very lucky not to get a red.

Onwards and upwards with no slip ups now, either in the league, FA cup of Chumps league.

Vinčić's refereeing was bad, but even without that gifted penalty I think we played a great game.
I hope that they will continue like that in the championship.

Think UEFA told the ref to give us a penalty at the first available oportunity after their officials fucked up in the first leg.
