I missed that match. My biggest win was on Boxing Day 1963 when City beat S****horpe 8-1. Matt Gray and Jimmy Murray had hat tricks and Derek Kevan two. Two days later they won the return fixture 4-2 with two for Murray, one for Kevan and one for David Wagstaffe.

Might be worth another thread but I never took to Tony Adcock. Bobby Owen was another.

I`ve seen some dross in a sky blue shirt but Bobby Owen has to rank as the worst,closely followed by Barry Silkman.

Call it fate but I bought a programme on that day. Never usually bothered. I'm assuming their pen was scored by the Andy May?
