re: the penalty appeals tonight

If that had been at the swamp rags v Wigan at least 2 of those appeals would have been given

And what type of fukin numpty sits on his thumb if he thinks for a split second his side should have a penalty

OH i say Tevez you should not be diving around like that old chap

FUCKOFF

When a player handles the ball and intercepts a pass in the box it should be a penalty.

That was the clearest of clear penalties. No ball striking hand. The player, was it Scharner, put his hand out and allowed the ball to hit it. Deliberate handball. Think Attwell came with the clear intention of not giving any MikeDeanesque pens, and unless Scharner jumped up with both hands, Terry-like, and turned the ball round the post, nobody would have had a shout.

bloody embarrassing.

at a push one might've been worthy of a spot-kick.

Which one would that be then?
Where were you sitting?
Did you get a great view of both boxes?
Or....did you have the benefit of a replay as you were watching at home?

In my opinion there were 2 that should have been pens in the 1st half infront of the Southstand:
1 - where Tevez was brought down (maybe it was a dive???)
2 - SWP clearly had his shirt pulled when he was going past somebody on the left hand side of the box.

Being in the SS, it's difficult to judge what happens in the box at the other end, but speaking to other people who were at the game, there should definitely have been another 1 in the 2nd half for handball.

So, why is it embarrasing? Surely like so many other things in football, it's all down to opinion?

We should have had four penalties and the red card was justified as it was a lunge over the top of the ball with studs showing.

Caldwell deserved a red card he should of been booked earlier for body checking Tevez`s run.Zabaleta was booked for identical challenge.

Just saw the red card on tv, there's no way should Tevez have been sent off. As for Caldwell, the scissor like challenge with his trailing leg was silly and made the decision for the ref. It probably was just a yellow but imo he made the decision easy for the ref with his stupidness.

You are bloody embarrassing. The whole point of playing at home infront of a crowd is to get the odd decision to go in your teams favour.

And after some of the decisions this season, we are due more than a couple dodgey decisions and if I can help influence the ref, then great.

You may as well just watch at home by the sounds of it.

-- Tue Mar 30, 2010 12:51 pm --

Give it a rest, who gives a fuck if its a pen or not get behind the team shout for every pen or hand ball, i do, we all should, you ever been away for a game?

Grow up, you absolute plum.

Who cares if it's a penalty, i do. Though i'm sure we'd all turn a blind eye every now and again, and officiating inconsistencies can effect our judgement, i'd like us to win and lose fairly. If we deserve a pen i'd like to see them given, when we concede them i hope the ref made the right call and we learn from our mistakes.

Overall, as with lots of people, i just want to see good, fair football. If you're one of these sorts who wants us to win at any costs then i feel a bit sorry for you.

Been going home and away for fifteen years, not that that's any real business of yours. First impressions of you is that you're one of this new breed of gobby and undeserving Blues. Have a look at yourself, ffs.

Bollocks to this "win fairly" crap. Are you one of these bloody fans that wishes we didn't have money also, and only lads from an "M" postcode played for us.

Why should everyone else win however they wish, escape bans, get dodgey decisions, but we have to say, "Oh no ref, you made a mistake, I wasn't tripped that much, please do not give us a penalty".

Call me a new fan if you want but I have been going for 8 years longer than you (not that it should or does matter but you are the one quotinging how long you have been going - why?)

To be fair as if we were gonna get any sort of correct decision with that muppet in charge.

You must all surely remember the Phamton Goal he gave for Reading against Watford. Just seen again on SSN and its the worst decision i've ever seen bar none.

The guy is an absolute fucking joke.

We've not had many decisions at home recently but the way the fans are reacting is getting a bit embarrassing and dare I say it a bit 'rag-esque'.

For those that watched it on the telly, was it a red card?

Why do some posters on here always feel the need to take City's bearing from where the rags are? They are not the Northern star from where we find ourselves. Why does everything have to be "in relation" to them, be it "rag-esque" or "anti-rag"? Can we not just be City?

If you are genuinely embarrassed by fans appealing then maybe don't go or wear a balaclava as it really did sound the majority of the ground was appealing.

Also, please stop worrying about the rags.
