Why does super Mario not celebrate

Just wanted to get a fellow blues opinion on this it's really strange that when he scores there is no emotion or celebration your thoughts please

I think its just his moody style, although TBH I don't think he wants to be here, I reckon he'll go to AC in the summer.

-- Thu Dec 02, 2010 10:17 am --

I think its just his moody style, although TBH I don't think he wants to be here, I reckon he'll go to AC in the summer.

Mancini:

“The fact that he didn’t celebrate is just him. It is normal for him to score. He does it every day.”

Balotelli doesn't celebrate scoring for the same reason that you don't celebrate a really good blink.

Like all apex predators - he is without; thought, compassion or feeling. He just feeds/scores goals, and he absolutely will not stop............

Because he's cool as fuck.

This.
He is Cool McCool of Coolsville, in Cool County, the cool capital of the State of Cool. Mario is even cooler than a fuckoff big bear stood on a mint.

Fekin class post there, i'll have to use that one. He had a big cheery smile when his brother Richards scored at Stoke as he ran off to join in the celebrations so I don't think not celebrating when he scores shows he's unhappy but who knows eh? He did clench his fist when he volley'd his first but I don't know if that was for his success or if he was ready to rumble with the red bulls...

Also, once he starts banging them in infront of full houses at Eastlands and everyone's chanting his name and going nuts for him...He may fist pump the air.

Unsure why he doesn't celebrate and I doubt it's for this reason, but it reminds me of Colin Bell's autobiography. For those who haven't read it/can't remember, he says that he doesn't understand the exaggerated celebrations, and sees scoring goals as just another part of playing football - just as important a part as saving a shot or winning a throw-in. I'm pretty sure that he finished up by saying that, if he played football now, he would refuse to celebrate goals and would just want to get back into place for the next kick-off.

As I say, I don't think he does it for that reason, and I'm not sure I agree with Colin on the lack of importance (comparatively) of scoring, but Balotelli does remind me of Colin for that reason.

Anelka used to do the same.
I don't care, as long as he is banging in the goals. He did celebrate with the lads after Micah scored at Stoke...

Stuart Pearce anyone!? Never celebrated goals. As for Mario read some where that he said it's his job that's why he doesn't make a big deal about scoring.

I certainly hope so but I think he wants to go home, he's made it obvious he wants to play for AC and Inter probably wouldn't have sold him to AC. Its just my opinion though, hope I'm wrong

Did you see his look of disgust when he slammed the ball into the side netting?
I like the fact he doesn't leg it round after he's scored. He couldn't conceal a huge smile when his team mates congratulated him.

What would we rather have, an understated look of confidence and coolness, or a celebration in the mould of that little wanker nani, who scored to put the rags 5-0 up against blackburn and ran round like he's scored the deciding goal in the 92nd minute of the World Cup final?

I also enjoyed listening to Viera when he was asked about Super Mario.
For those who didn't hear it, he said, Mario has fantastic talent, but he must realise that he has to work and run for the team.

Spot on..leave the celebrating to the fans i say..some of the celebrations that players do verge on the embarrassing tbh..Gerrard celebrates like hes won the world fucking cup every time he scores..twat..
