Reading Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Great build up play. Free-flowing, nice width, creative, and unpredictable. Finishing should have been better (at least 4 goals should have been scored) but hats off to their keeper and their defenders blocked a good amount of shots. I agree with the announcer (don't recall his name but the one who kept calling Reading QPR) that sometimes we do try and make a pass too many. I call it Silva syndrome sometimes we try and create an amazing beautiful goal instead of just letting a shot rip.

Milner is amazing. For me he's easily one of the best players on the team. Would be devastated if he's not here next year.

Good to us coming up and scoring instead of hanging back to defend for the last 10 mins. Happy faces all around. :)

Excellent performance all round.Played with a freedom seldom seen this season.

Milner MOTM for me.Silva a close second.

Finishing let us down again.......but Aguero's goal.....wow!

Good match, I thought everyone on the team put in a good shift, especially after losing Kolo during the 1st haft, Milner, Ya Ya , Silva and Barry did well in the midfield, Aguero and Dzeko took their goals well, thought the defence stood up well during the match, so well done guys..............

Amazing... the BBC and Daily Mail have their digs about us not selling out our away allocation. Why is no other team treated this way? We sell out the vast majority of away games yet are ripped into when we don't sell out an end-of-season dead rubber days after an expensive day at Wembley.

Sublime first half. Sublime first goal.

27 shots, 20 shots on target.

2nd half wasn't great but it was nice to see us playing 1/2 touch football at pace for a change. No fucker can live with us when we play like that.

there is not a lot wrong apart from a pinch of desire
that was quite obvious tonight
good quality controlled performance

2nd best performance of the season, admittedly against a team that are utter wank.

Collectively it was quick, we pressed high and harassed them and seemed to be 1st to pretty much every loose ball.

Milner was excellent and whipped in some outstanding crosses. We used width and the bye line and it was really really refreshing to see.

Silva was back to his impish best and that pass for the 2nd goal was pass of the season. Sublime.

Very sad to see players this talented come away with fuck all this season, A travesty.

Onwards and upwards.

Well i am happy with that ! wanted to watch this match, second place secured ! chances created even if it's only 2 but do't forget this is the same Reading if you remember at the Etihad winning in the injury time !!!

happy :) move on

At least two decent saves from Joe Hart too , and didn't we clear one off the line second half ?

Reading were very poor. But we demoralised them with our passing

20 shots on target. Amazing stat for a Premiership away game. But 2 goals to show for it. Not sure if that's good or bad. Probably both

Silva was back to his best. Very very committed performance which was great to see

A good night for the club.

Its no wonder we've won f*ck all this season 27 shots on goal, 20 on target, only 2 goals. Great to hear Kidd leading the players across to the fans too.

Good result, but after the lord mayors show unfortunately.

Thought it was sold out and they alway put these digs in because the bbc is infested with rags and jealous fans of other teams

This.

It just has been one of those seasons for scoring goals. We were smashing them in for fun last year now we are struggling a bit. We are not doing anything wrong. The stats show we are having a lot of shots just been bad luck this season we haven't scored more.

As well as coming up against some superhuman goalkeepers in games this year, tonight was up there with one of the best displays I have seen from a goalkeeper recently. Thought McCarthy was excellent.

Its about making the (Sky) relevant comparisons. We cant fill a whole end at Reading on a Tuesday night West of London after an expensive and depressing stint in the same area three days earlier, yet the rags can fill the streets of Manchester with 3/4 of a million fans on a wonderful joyous and heartfelt Monday evening.

I was going to say you cant make this shit up, but then again...
