Any chance we can rest Rodri vs Luton?

I don't know if he's tired or what but he was very poor against Palace, especially in the first half and again tonight
 
Said at half time Madrid are shit. They are.

Thought we were poor outside of a few short passages of play. Nowhere near enough control, too open, too slow and both Rodri and Bernardo looked like they’d been in The Claremont all day.

Thought Gvardiol, Dias and Akanji were excellent. Best I’ve seen Gvardiol play since he’s been with us.

Get Ederson, Walker and Kev back and we’ll handle these comfortably next week.
 
Gcardiol is our 1st choice LB.

If we play in the final and all our defenders are available, Gvardiol starts at LB.
 
great result overall, could have won despite playing rather bad for some periods. careless in possession a lot, luckily we opted for long shots and how well we did that. sometimes we need this rather then walk it in, and try to pass it around sideways until the morning.

fuck off with the deflected conceded goals, give us some of those next leg please. cannot happen more against us than for us and certainly thats how it is...

Kovacic imo had very bad game, didnt give us as much control as his presence should have and neither going forward offered anything.
Rodri in first 50 mins was rubbish, caught out a lot, missplaced passes a lot, alongside Stones and Bernardo which created some dangerous Real attacks.

but we came out well for 2nd half with bit more intention and turned it around, huge goals from Foden and Gvardiol.

wish we would find Haaland bit more in these games, he really got no service once again. if KDb is not around he literally can go full games without even getting a proper ball.
