Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Hate this competition anyway, another 1 sawn up for Real, boring. Back to proper football Sunday, CTID

You know what? 3-1 wasn’t that bad a result. Should’ve been 3-2 if VAR would’ve done its job and checked for a penalty at the end too.

A few positives - mainly Khusanov and a first goal for Nico.

They’re better than us. Which is fine. But we kept playing and put them on the back foot for the last 25 minutes I thought. Played with a lot of personality. IMO anyway.

Onto the FA Cup and the top 4 charge.

Put them on the back foot because the game was done. They knew we were no threat and they phoned it in for the last 20 minutes. That's all that happened.

Played like they didn’t fancy any further games in this comp this season.

We didn’t really even deserve to be given this Gutter Round to get the chance for any more games: 22nd best team in Europe, we were out after the 3-0 > 3-3 capitulation against Feyenoord.

Too many injuries, too many old men, too many young lads, too few players bang in their prime and fit anymore.

Poor but expected. Went into it with no hope or expectation so not surprised or that bothered to be honest.

They're miles better than us or anyone in England for that matter, they could win it again.

Transition season, get top 4 secured and shithouse an FA Cup.
I don't agree that they're miles better than anyone in England. The Dippers and Villa would and maybe will give them a game if and when they meet.
