What about the Valverde challenge where he went flying in and escaped a yellow. Are we saying challenges like that are only punished if you do five rolls?
What about Rudigers challenge late on against Savio. Challenges in that sort of area are punished with a yellow but of course not because he’d then receive a red
You can’t have watched that and believed the red called it down the middle
There was a lot let go tonight which made for a good game actually.

La Liga is utter crap league at the moment.
Yawn.First half we really struggled with Vinicius and Rodrygo then they managed to turn it around well. Still a lot to improve.
Nice one, forgot about that.
I'm not the only one either considering some think the ref was shit, players get sent off for less than that.
That was given as a foul - which it wasn't - and no one gets sent off for less than that.

A superb result given that we are still a team in the making. Sure Madrid had a fair few injuries but they were still very strong. We've played there with more established sides and lost so well done to the squad tonight in seeing it through. As others have said the ref had a shocker.

Need a strong side at Palace, some (arguably) easier games to come in the next few weeks, Brentford and West Ham at home, Sunderland away (I still don't think they're that good), then Brighton and Exeter at home, opportunities in most of those to rest one or two players.

The absolute positive is that we are winning games that we haven’t played all that well in. Last year we were losing them!
Weird game that tonight. I thought we were really poor for the first 30 mins but after that we took control until maybe the last 10/15 when it was a bit chaotic.
