Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Madrid are a sly side when it comes to refs - a lot of distraction goes on at their place. Rudiger has fouled Haaland in exactly the same way in several games - no pens ever given. Good decision to give the pen for once. For me, the Trossard ref had an especially crap game. No doubt Madrid fans are moaning that he was biased against them. I've seen plenty of UEFA refs biased against us, but I just think the Trossard ref was crap and easily conned.
He got out of jail with the Nico goal. Rudiger had just wrestled Ruben to the ground, much like he did Haaland later on, right before Nico scored. The goal took the decision out of his hands. Was really disappointed with him, as he is one of the stronger refs UEFA have got whrn it comes to reffing Madrid matches.

Not sure what I make of him, to be honest. To, seemingly, not have an issue getting tickets, he must have a mountain of points built up.
I think he's likely been doing the hard yards for a long time, home and away, and only more recently become visible in the Mutton persona..? I like his coverage, and clearly an adventurous traveller, though the Guinness vlogs in the states were off-putting.

I stood next to him at Atletico a few years ago and thought he was talking to me the whole time. I swear if there's not some footage of me saying "what's that, pal" then he's a miracle editor.

Shut up you soft arse. If me saying - I’ll take a 2-1 win but our team of old probably would have scored more - stopped you from enjoying it ‘for once’, whatever that means, then this forums not for you. Jog on.
If you think this forum is only here for you whingers to come along and try and out-whinge each other every time things don't go our way, and even when they do, then you'd better jog on because most of us on here are sick of hearing it.

A win at Madrid is a rare beast to be savoured however it was achieved and you said quite a bit more than that, even others agreed. The only vote your post got was from a fellow whinger.

I thought I'd do the right thing and come back and reply to your answer out of courtesy but that was a mistake obviously

My wife and went to son's home yesterday. Watched loads of clips of games - not just City. But after watching the YouTube clip of the Madrid game our son clicked on those clips of fans' reactions after the Aguerooooooooooooooooo goal. Our sides are still aching after watching the antics of the rag fans.
Bit off topic I know but as I included "Madrid" in the post Ric will let it pass!!!!!

Madrid on Wednesday and 93:20 are in our top ten, all time, greatest wins. Two fairly local lads (born within an hour of our ground) scoring our goals has taken this era to another level.

We have also seen a shift in this forum in recent weeks where good wins get approximately the same number of posts as bad losses. Prior to that it was a 3:1 ratio in favour of the doom and gloom merchants. I hope the new trend continues.

Some posters are going to be upset when they see the expanded North Stand pretty full for most games next seasom. The club can help by improving fan engagement.

Matches like the Cup game against Exeter are important as Madrid away in terms of growing our match going fanbase
