Well for me that was inexcusable and against a depleted Real Madrid side, after the excellent performance at Newcastle on Saturday, Pep can’t help but completely mess about again and dismantle it. Why did RAN not start? He’s been one of our best performers recently. O’Reilly has been one of our best midfielders so he shoves him back at left back. Zero creativity in midfield with both Foden and Cherki on the bench. Khusanov should be playing at centre back instead of Dias who has been very poor for a while. Reijnders offers absolutely nothing and if I was Marmoush I would be handing in a transfer request in the summer as Pep clearly doesn’t like him. Yet again we revert back to pedestrian football, it’s boring and we offer nothing. Pep was the best once and I maintain we will never reach those incredible levels again that we saw under him. However, it’s clear he’s lost his way and this isn’t a recent thing. It’s not acceptable at all and how anyone can defend this is beyond me. I’ll still be there next week cheering the blues on but because of Pep and his woeful team selection and tactics, I think we are sadly done.
 
Outplayed. But it's not all over till the fat lady sings. No point playing Haaland if he gets no service. Savinhio off early says it all. Only plus is we did fight till the end.

Yeah, thats piss poor, don't create chances, don't press and are technically poor.

It just takes a midfielder out of the game because Doku and Savinho are already on. Needs to be 2 of the 3 - preferably Doku and Semenyo.
 
Pep set the tone with the team selection and formation! He just NEVER learns does he!?! Been on a good run and he fucks around again, utter fucking shambles and lucky it wasn’t 6!!!!! Very rare am i ashamed of the team but tonight……..

Savinho one decent game in months and thats some how enough to get him a start away to Madrid?

Madrid are struggling in midfield and we give them the 3 v 2 in there

Having said all that fair play to Valverde. One of the best performances I've seen against us in a long time
 
Unfortunately this is our level, we were never going to win it. We have been lucky in the league that Chelsea and Liverpool have had bad seasons and had easy league cup draws. It’s the same as last season, no different.
