Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Watching Madrid, even PSG & Chelsea tonight look like they are on play 1.5 compared to us . Slow and laboured all over the pitch

Heat of the moment or not?
Greatest peak in English football history
Days we could only dream of
A legacy which 100 straight losses wouldn’t change
Will never be pep out…. However

It might be time for a change

Will need a fair wind behind us but I'm glad it was only three as I think we can turn that round next week.

Level of effort required now may have ramifications for cup final though.

The ball just didn't drop for us in the 1st 20mins, could have scored and that would not have been a surprise. Fair play for their first goal and of course a lucky deflection fell kindly for the second, you knew it was one of those nights.

Wank, wank and wank
Wank team selection
Wank performance from the players picked
Wank result.
And while I'm foaming at the mouth - Haaland is currently a fuckin liability, I accept his goalscoring record but as a TEAM we have looked better without him recently.

Haaland is now starting to get very worrying

He’s not even getting chances never mind goals. His movement is non existent
Why move? There's no reason to move if he knows he's not gonna get the ball. He literally has nothing to do and he's not the type of player that can drop deeper.

Have we sacked our set piece coach yet.

Sums up the too comfortable, 3rd rate coaches who are probably all “yes” men to Pep that he is still employed. Dippers, Arsenal, Rags etc would all probably have scored tonight from the amount we had and most of ours hit the first defender.

We just look really badly coached the last few seasons, shambolic defending, awful final 3rd play etc.

We thought we could expose them tonight.

We thought because of their bad form and weak full backs we could play the game out wide with two killers in the box (Haaland and Semenyo).

Leaving Khusanov to deal with their only threat which was Vini JR.

I can see how and why the plan was put together but tbh it was crazy.

Rodri and Nico G double pivot and try to counter would be a sensible idea in a first leg at the Bernabeau.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but our plan didn’t work and Valverde put in a generational performance.

This may not be particularly popular this evening BUT I actually thought we were alright first half and should have scored before Valverde started playing the finishing game of his career.

This tie can still overturned thanks to the penalty save.

Up the blues............... :-)
We should definately have scored at least 1, the amount of balls across the 6 yard area!

Plus some terrible balls in when they should have been across the box.
