Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Had a fabulous winning team and it transitioned into a very soft squad that at times played some lovely stuff but when the chips were down, capitulated too easily
Building a new squad which is, in March still in 4 competitions, including a final of one of them.
Clear second in the PL with a chance of winning it Progressed to the quarter finals of FAC
KO rounds of UCL
Last season despite all the injuries still finished in 3rd and got to a cup final
Nothing like Wenger

I think the biggest issue this squad and the manager has is how weve failed to build the system around haaland, norway did it. Our system is still build around rodri and bernardo. Our goalkeeper, defence and the attack all suit a fast pace football but we refuse to play fast for the sake of rodri and bernardo. The club needs to decide if we can give haaland 10 years, why cant we give him a system that actually suits him that gives him more than 1 xG every game, right now the xG he gets is hilariously bad because the manager wants slower slower !!! 3/4 of the squad does not suit peps system so surely its time to bring someone that can make a system built around haaland if we wanna keep him untill 2032

I've paid for a ticket (£37.50) for next week.

I won't be there, it will cost me another £60 to be there (trains and parking), then £30 in food and drink at least, so I'm not wasting any more money on it, I can watch from my sofa with a glass (or 5) of wine.
Trains AND Parking?

I’ve paid £60 for my ticket before any other expense :-(
Learnt a valuable lesson, in future I’ll wait to see how the first leg pans out.

We really do need the tourists :-) :-).
I’ll be there

We did score v Forest from a corner
Last night at 0-0 we got a corner. It was a great set piece that we’d clearly worked on. Semenyo took up position far edge of the area, the corner was played along the floor into space for Semenyo to run onto and smack it unchallenged into the goal… if only Semenyo hadn’t slipped as he approached the ball! Why do so many of our players slip? I used to put Rugby studs in my boots (longer)

still shocked we allowed Valverde a 1st half hattrick when this season he is on 2 goals in La Liga in 24 starts and 26 apps total.

how the fuck that happens?

when one of ours score a hattrick in crucial CL later stages game who usually scores 2-4 goals over a season PL?

Trains AND Parking?
Yes, because I need to pay for 24 hours parking for all midweek games I attend, as there are no return trains after the game, luckily I don't have to pay for accomodation on top.

Ask Dias and Guehi.....

Good for you, but I'm not throwing good money after already wasted (ticket) money.

I'll still hope we get through obviously, but I'm not wasting 24 hours of my life, and more money on top of the ticket, when I can eat at home at a convenient time, with a glass or two of wine.

Bang on. Our current players are not suited to ‘possession is priority’ football
