Big decision for Pep, do we keep it tight and then open up as the match develops or do we go at them from the start and try to extend our lead.

Ideally we would be in front at half time and they have to come at us in the 2nd half and leave themselves open on the break.

And a scary picture.... If Benzema really has grown bigger than the stadium, we might struggle with crosses.

Every Real Madrid team is scary on paper. City are more scary on grass.

Up the Blues!

(I'm definitely avoiding the matchday thread tonight!)
It will get toxic if things go tits up

If we go out there and play our own game, and not get sucked into Madrids game plan we will go through. It really is simply, avoid defeat and we go through, if they don’t score we go through, if we score more than then we go through. I say throw everything at it and play our own game, attacking football with slick high tempo passing and we will dominate.
First goal is absolutely crucial for the tie, if we get it, Madrid have to attack us which will create spaces for us to exploit. If Madrid get the first goal, then it’s a nervous game that could go anyway.

Come on City!
I agree, play our usual game, and with the psychological edge from being ahead and the other stuff you mention, we should come through. They are clinical though, so unlike last week, we have to defend competently and take our own chances.
