It's such a hard one to call. I'm nervous, as is usual with CL games. We've beaten them in three of the last four games. But we've only won one of our away CL games this season, the first group game against Sevilla and Real in the CL are just a different beast. Having said that, we've drawn the rest and I think being resilient away from home is fine, it would be good if we could try and score our penalties as that would have turned some of those draws to wins!
In La Liga they've only lost at home once, with several draws and they also lost at home to Barca in the Copa Del Rey semi final 1st leg so they're pretty solid. Their away form in general hasn't been great which is why I'm a lot more confident of our chances of progressing with the 2nd leg at home.
Fresh off winning the Copa Del Rey they'll be confident, but that wasn't an easy game so if we show the right energy levels and commitment we could punish them.
I'd be setting up to be defensively solid and looking to stop them scoring, knowing a draw gives us a big advantage at home next week. Play on the counter and look to stop them getting the ball into their midfield. Haaland had an off day against Leeds, if he gets a few chances tonight and takes them we'll have one foot in the final.
Real Madrid 1-3 City.
